Maya Imani
Dancer | singer | actor | choreographer
Maya (she/her) grew up in Atlanta, GA, dancing up and down the aisles at church the moment she could walk. This inspired her performance journey, studying dance from the age of 3, and later attending Cobb County Center for Excellence in the Performing Arts at Pebblebrook High School. Alongside receiving her B.F.A. in Musical Theatre from the University of Michigan, Maya began to engage with many social justice movements on campus, inspiring her to pursue a minor in Community Action and Social Change. She is just as passionate about justice and liberation as she is performing, and looks forward to being a change agent in the movement for a more equitable industry. Currently, she is an active member of Change Is Fetch. Follow their journey on Instagram!
Maya is currently performing around the country as Rachel Hamilton in the national tour of MEAN GIRLS, where she also understudies Janis. Catch her in a city near you!
